Did you know that over 1.5 billion people, all over the world, are walking around with powerful computers in their pockets and purses? What can you learn from a cell phone?

Providing technological parity among all schools creates an environment where each individual school benefits. Imagine a day when all third graders are learning the same information, at the same time, in different locations, together.
Our District is committed to providing ongoing and effective training for all teachers. Regardless of the level of expertise going into this project, all will enjoy training by qualified personnel through workshops, staff development days and interaction between themselves.
The government does support this plan. Previous grants have provided our district with the infrastructure necessary to support the next steps in our technology plan.
Yes, we can reach our goals if each student can raise $222.00. While we know not every student can achieve that goal, we know others can exceed it.
Yes, we are dedicated to creating a buy-in through corporate grants, gifts or donations. That is an important aspect in our fundraising goals.
Many other districts already have and are using the technology we are trying to obtain. Supported by government monies or corporate donations, some districts needs are far beyond ours. As a result, they qualify for funding from many areas we do not.
The State mandated a Technology Use Plan for all schools. Specific grants have already been implemented toward the fulfillment of that plan. This is the best time to raise money for this project in terms of getting the most out of our donated dollars. In addition, physically upgrading all of the schools in our district will require much larger sums of capital. In order to update the forty plus year old sites, some type of bond measure will be required.
Providing our children with the tools necessary to compete in the workplace is just the beginning. Improved learning, quantitative analysis capability and ability to utilize current curriculum models are just a few benefits of the plan. In addition, test scores, quality of education and school environment all play a major role in determining our property values. Every donation helps get closer to achieving those goals.
