"These teens were born into a digital world where they expect to be able to create, consume, remix and share material with each other."
— Lee Rainie, director, Pew Internet and American Life Project
Our award-winning schools are the primary reason the Los Alamitos/Seal Beach/Rossmoor community is one of the most desirable places to live. Even if you don’t have children enrolled, the quality of local schools matters to you. Why? Good schools increase your property value. It’s been shown that home values are higher if your local schools have National Blue Ribbon status, like those in Los Alamitos Unified.
LAUSD has achieved greatness over the decades and is renowned for its quality education, well-qualified staff, and outstanding community support. However, our schools are behind when it comes to technology.
To remedy this shortcoming, the District created an ambitious three-year technology plan (for details visit www.losal.org). The Los Alamitos Educational Foundation has the unique opportunity to raise funds in support of these technology updates. Our goal is to provide the entire District with technological advances for all students at every school so that they may succeed at the highest possible level. Students will learn using the tools of their generation. Your generous participation will provide the necessary resources to achieve this goal.
To see how you can be part of achieving this important goal for our schools and community, visit our website, www.losaledfoundation.com (generously donated by The Shops at Rossmoor).
